Origin
Straight Up Jazz! was formed by local musicians with the intent of promoting America’s art form in the Tri-Cities area. Over the years, the group has been a steadily evolving influence and source of entertainment for local jazz lovers. Equally comfortable performing at clubs, private parties, or special events, the group presents a colorful blend of many different jazz styles.

Sounds Like
The group performs many different jazz styles, including standards, swing, Latin jazz, ballads, be-bop, soul jazz, fusion, jazz/rock, blues, and contemporary jazz. Depending on the gig, the sound can be anywhere from a cool “background music” jazz trio to an exciting improvisational quintet with a kickin’ rhythm section and ear-pleasing horn harmonies.
