The only bad bits to finish are a bit of headlining needs sticking down at hatch, rear brake caliper could do with seals, although not leaking and funtion. Small rattle from tube to torque converter plate, but I have one for fitting which I got from 944 online and will be provided (flex plate at front looks ok through inspection hole) . I am driving this daily so mileage may go up a bit. This would suit a daily drive, Sunday classic or make a solid track day car base as there is absolutely no rust and the paint is mint.

Liquid Force Goes Back To 5 Struts | Kite 2011

You might have noticed this year that many kite manufactures used a 3 or 4 struts construction in their kites. There has been a trend in this 3 strut design for a couple of reasons. Less struts does mean less weight in the kite and tends to make the kite fly better in light winds and be efficient through the wind window. This is the trend on SLE kites. But Liquid Force has now decided to go back to 5 struts with their new Nirvana that soon will be released on the market. The LF designers did make the hifi comp, which is their “c” style kite in 2011 with 4 struts to bring the kite flying characteristics closer to a SLE kite. The feedback that they received was good on the kite from the market but at the same time alienated some of the pure “c” kite riders. This year they decided to push the limits of the C kite in performance and this brought the design back to a 5 strut kite.

This was done to create the ultimate rigidity in a kite possible. If you take notice of the placement of the struts they are very very very close to the wing tips. This creates stability in the wing tips and eliminates any chance of the tip bending in under extreme loading and popping. It also makes the kite loop with precision and control. The designers also added a batten in the wing tip to aid even more in the structure of the kite. Another reason for the 5 struts is it creates the ability to use a very small diameter leading edge. This again creates a kite that is stable, efficient and transfers power on command.

Basically what you get in the Nirvana is a very very aggressive C kite! So, in terms of the evolution of kites. In SLE kites Liquid Force have some of the most advanced kites on the market.
