Print Email UK. Leading hairstyling brand ghd has launched its new Pink Orchid Limited Edition set, with part of the proceeds of each sale to be donated to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity www.breakthrough.org.uk .
This years limited edition takes cues from leading designers such as Valentino, Balenciaga and Christopher Kane, who presented shades of magenta, rose and cerise in their Spring/Summer collections.
In line with this seasons pink and black lace trend, the set features a sheer lace print layered over this seasons colour hot orchid pink. The styling plates of the ghd Gold Series Classic styler have also been transformed into the same vibrant shade a style note from accessories shown at the House of Holland Spring/Summer catwalk show, which featured bold pink tones.
The pink-plated styler comes with a heat-resistant styler case/clutch bag as well as two ghd sectioning clips.
The ghd Orchid Pink Limited Edition is available from World Duty Free in selected airports priced at £107.50. £10 from each sale will be donated to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
This is ghds eighth collaboration with the charity, which is dedicated to the prevention, treatment and ultimate eradication of breast cancer.

Tie Up Shades | Yardsurfer
There are many simple ways that you can make your home beautiful. All that it takes is a little creativity, imagination, crafting, time, and some materials. It can only take a fraction of your time to make something like tie up shades for the windows of your home .
With the materials available and your creativity you can make something that will help elevate how your home looks. Now it is up to you to take the challenge for who knows what you can accomplish. Without further adieu here are some instructions to guide you in creating your own tie up shade.
1. Cut 73 inches of the fabric for the front part of the shade and trimming the sides to make it 42 inches wide. You will then need to divide the fabric into four pieces with measurements of 4 inches wide and 64 inches long. This will be used as pockets for the ties on the front as well as the back of the shade. Cut another four pieces of the fabric with measurements of 3 inches wide and 64 inches long that will be used for the ties.
2. Then the next step is to make a hem on all of the sides. Let us begin with the width by folding three inches at the bottom and press, pin, and then sew. Repeat this on the opposite side of the width. You must also do the same thing with the long sides except that the measurement of the hem must only be 1 1/2 inches. At the top of the shade you must fold 1/2 inch as part of the rod pocket. Fold another three inches at the bottom then press and sew. Measure 1 inch from the top of the rod pocket and sew this line. This will make on the ruffle at the top.
3. Take the wrong side of the hemmed fabric then measure 12 inches and mark it. Then gather the pieces cut for the tie and measure 1/2 inch hems on the long sides, fold and then press. The wrong side of the fabric entering the marked lines is where you are going to pin. You will then have to sew both sides but make sure that you leave the top and the bottom open. By using the line of stitching as guide pin to the right side of the fabric. You must match the stitching lines and sew the pieces to the front of the shade.
