Diaz was spotted twice Monday at South City Kitchen in Midtown. She had lunch there with her mom and returned for dinner and drinks with a big group of friends, we're told.
J-Lo has kept a much lower profile, coming and going by private jet and being whisked through town in a caravan of SUVs with dark tinted windows. She’s on the cover of the current Vanity Fair, and a slew of celebrity gossip magazines have been in town, tripping over each other in hopes of nabbing a photo or any scoop on the newly single Lopez.
Anyway, back to South City Kitchen. Known for its upscale Southern comfort food, the Midtown spot is used to hosting famous diners. Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds were seen there while in town filming “The Change-Up.” Former first lady Laura Bush had dinner there last year when she was in Atlanta on her book tour, joined by former U.S. Sen. Sam Nunn . The aforementioned Rock was there the other day. Other well-known fans of SCK have included Conan O’Brien, Jennifer Hudson, Charles Barkley, Debbie Allen, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck .

The local literati were out in force Monday night to celebrate Patti Henry's latest novel, "Coming Up for Air." Among the crowd of 150 at the launch party at Room & Board were "The Help" author Kathryn Stockett; Mary Kay Andrews , whose latest is "Summer Rental;" former Margaret Mitchell House & Museum board chairman and executive director Mary Rose Taylor; and Tom Bell , co-founder and director of the AJC Decatur Book Festival. Treme actor's body found in river - Celebrities - Celebrities with ...
The body of actor Michael Showers was found floating along the Mississippi river last Wednesday. Showers was a star in HBO drama Treme and played the role of police Capt. John Guidry.
According to a New Orleans official, Showers, 45, could have been in the river for up to two days before it was discovered by the captain of a steamboat.
The actor was reported missing by his girlfriend, who became worried when he did not return home after a night out in the French Quarter. An autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death.
In the series, Showers’ captain comes under criticism for his command over the department’s homicide squad, especially in the real-life murder case of Helen Hill, which producers worked into the plot of the story.
He later also told the Time-Picayune: “He did very well with what we gave him. We did not want him to be a complete mustache-twirler in the sense of complete villain, but we wanted him to be very institutional and very resistant to an outside critique, which I think is typical of all institutions and I think very typical of the NOPD at that particular time in its history.“He was representing an institution that was sitting on top of an awful lot of dysfunction, and we represented that.”
Fellow Treme star Wendell Pierce Tweeted on Wednesday night : “Rest in Peace to my costar Michael Showers. ‘Capt Guidry’ on TREME. He will be a lasting part of our New Orleans story and television history.
