Project Pearland School P.A.S.S. collects school supplies
Collection boxes are popping up everywhere Pearland Pearland Student Project PASS (Pearlanders help with school supplies) begins its second year of collecting school supplies for students in need. Walgreens in partnership with local businesses and other Pearland ISD, PASS Project organized by Hub pet rescue hopes to raise 300 pounds. school supplies this year.
Last year, the project has collected over 200 lbs. school supplies for hundreds of students through Pearland. "The economy is more difficult this year than last year, so the need is even greater," proclaims PASS ProjectPet Rescue Coordinator and Executive Director Tammy Hub animals Dexter.
Unlike other similar programs to collect, all donations will remain in Houston, Dexter beams.
"We are pleased to be part of the grass roots effort to help students make a good start in the school year," said Dick Walgreens Sat. "We hope many of our customers will join us to support this project by stopping to donate supplies for children in need Pearland."
"Items in high demand include paper, pens, pencils and backpacks," says Ginette Gomez Padilla, Grade 7 English Language Arts (ELA) teacher for Pearland ISD.
Donations can be made 15 to 22 August at Walgreens Pearland anywhere and at Beef O 'Brady's at 6200 West Broadway St. or station Drink at 8209 Broadway St. # 103. Checks payable to "community schools" or cash donations are also accepted. Checks can be mailed to 2800 E. Broadway Suite C, PMB 422, Pearland, TX 77581.
