Certain woods ar tough and some are flexible enough to be molded. Hardwood floor is made from wood made by the leaves lost by trees during spring and winter.

Flooring is excellent home renovating feature. If you are looking for the appropriate wood suitable for your home and to congratulate walls then be careful in selection. Several woods also have distinct structures like the open pores and compact pores. Many woods also have natural figures on their surfaces like Birdseye and quilting. Open pores is found in woods like red and white oak, walnut may be more prone to stains and dirt. These woods appear dark after certain time.

Maple and cherry are compact pore wood. Due to the smooth texture it can be given good finishing. Even the quality of furniture depends the smooth classifiable surface of wood.

Below classification of hardwood may simplify your flooring material choice:

Mahogany: Its reddish brown color wood with fine texture. Its resistant capacity to shrinking, swelling and warping makes it durable. Mahogany is very much used in quality furniture and boat construction.

Box elder Maple: This texture is very hard. As maple combines well so it’s best used as flooring and wooden ware. Though it has reasonable shrinkage.

Cherry: When comes under sunlight the color changes to red. It has compact pores. It has good shell life and grows well. Solid furniture handles, novelties and wooden cabinets are made from cherry.

Oak: Apart from being durable oak also has flexibility to bend easily. Oak is good for flooring, furniture like desks can be made. Wooden framing and trimming can also be done.

Walnut: It’s found in eastern America also called as white walnut or butternut. With its fine strong coat, good finishing can be given to it. Walnut is resistant to shrinking and warping. It is mostly used for solid and superimposed furniture, cabinetry and wall paneling.

Teak: Its commonly preferred wood and very popular for making furniture with smooth and beautiful grain. It is flexible, durable and wet resistant even it doesn’t cracks and decays. Used for shipbuilding, doors, window frame and flooring basic wooden products.
